Swimming Pool Enclosure – Norfolk
Bespoke swimming pool enclosure, designed and constructed using the Vaso by Eco Build System, overcoming complex site and design constraints with efficiency and precision.
Built over an existing outdoor swimming pool, the enclosure had to provide full functionality while maintaining a discreet and low-profile appearance.
The project required strict adherence to height limitations: the new structure could not exceed the roofline of the adjacent residence nor begin higher than the existing northern boundary fence. To support the owner's physiotherapy needs, specialist assistive equipment was incorporated within the structure. Additionally, the design maximized natural daylight, particularly through the south-facing wall, to create a bright, uplifting interior environment.
The Vaso Build System offered several benefits over traditional construction methods for the project:
Durability and Corrosion Resistance: All structural and load-bearing components, including the roof, were formed entirely from Vaso panels. This ensured long-term durability and eliminated the risk of corrosion from the high humidity and chlorinated atmosphere of the heated pool.
Minimal Disruption During Installation: Despite limited site access, the installation was completed with minimal disruption using Vaso’s adapted crawler crane system. Each panel was positioned effortlessly without disturbing the surrounding hardscaping or concrete features.
Efficient and Quick Installation: The entire building shell was erected in just a few days, even amidst challenging weather conditions during a typical November in Norfolk.
These benefits, plus a segmented roof design, employed to enhance the architectural appeal while respecting the strict height restrictions, creating a visually pleasing profile and provided generous headroom around the pool's access areas, contributing to a comfortable and functional space; made the Vaso Build System an efficient and effective choice for this project.
